Our Nigerian team is facing immense hardship amid national insecurity and violence. In response, we're launching Operation Encourage — a two-month season of prayer and care.
Each week, we'll email you spotlights of team members, their stories, and specific prayer requests.
You can submit a note, scripture, or prayer through the link, and we'll deliver everything directly to the staff being lifted up that week.
This week, please pray for Mercy and Sam.
Mercy (FFICM Nigeria Trainer & Bookkeeper) is a widow raising young children. She's battling typhoid, malaria, anemia, and stress-induced high blood pressure. Two of her cousins were recently killed by Fulani militia returning home from attending a family funeral.
Sam (FFICM Nigeria Head Trainer) travels throughout northern Nigeria leading trainings. Nigeria's rising cost of living has made basic necessities a struggle, his mother's dementia weighs heavily on him, and he's trusting God for provision to build a stonewall around his property for security.
Send a note, scripture, or prayer at fficm.org/operation-encourage — please include the staff member's name with your message.
As Peter said, "This will remind the staff that they are appreciated, cared for, and not alone."

In Rich’s teaching Devotion to Christ, he highlights something every believer can be guaranteed of: the unchanging character of Jesus!
One of Jesus' characteristics is kindness.
Jesus is kind — His heart toward you is full of gentleness and grace!

Please continue lifting up our Nigerian staff and volunteers in prayer.
FFICM National Director Peter Wash spoke with us this morning and shared how the growing insecurity in Nigeria is deeply affecting the livelihood, health, and safety of our team members.
Many face danger during daily commutes between their homes and the office, as well as while traveling extensively for ministry work.
In some areas, roads are blocked by Fulani groups and others involved in kidnappings for ransom, creating constant uncertainty and fear.
New believers and our MBB volunteers are also facing increasing threats as their faith becomes known.
In rural communities, ongoing attacks have made farming seasons extremely difficult, preventing many families from safely tending their land and providing food for their households.
We humbly ask you to cover our brothers and sisters in prayer — for God’s peace, protection, security, strength, and provision to reign throughout Nigeria.
We are also working on a special project we hope to launch this summer to send words of encouragement, prayers, and Scripture to our Nigerian team. We will keep you updated!
