However, the sale frequently needs to be completed in an environment of confidentiality balancing the best interest objective of creating a robust, competitive marketplace which can enhance the market value achieved for a privately held company with the need to keep the potential transaction out of the public domain to mitigate the possibility of negative impacts in terms of customer, employee, and vendor retention.
