College Success Foundation Scholars from Highline High School (Highline Public Schools) recently participated in the Rising SEAs event at the University of Washington, an annual event hosted by UW's Multicultural Outreach & Recruitment department that celebrates and uplifts Southeast Asian students.
Students explored UW's admissions process, connected with campus resources, participated in identity-focused workshops, experienced campus life, and toured the university.
“Students were able to dig into their life experiences, explore the messages they’ve received about what they are capable of, and redefine their relationship with their cultural identities,” shared CSF Advisor Jayla.
Experiences like the Rising SEAs event help CSF Scholars see themselves in college spaces and build confidence.🎓
