We brought a wheel and a bunch of clay to 🫜 Bellingham Farmers Market 🫜 this morning and it was an absolute delight! Thanks for doing spontaneous pottery with us (even in the rain!). We’ll fire the work everyone made today and itll be ready for pickup in a few weeks 🖤

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold. A world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection — a way of living life with an authentic appreciation for the beauty to be found in what is, just as it is. As we continue to navigate this ever-changing new world, the art of kintsugi is a practice to heal through acceptance.

For this workshop, all materials will be provided and all levels are welcome. Participants are welcome to bring in additional pieces for repair. Jen can make a “diagnosis” of the piece to see if it’s a good candidate for repair. Depending on the timing of the workshop, participants may have time to complete the repair on their additional pieces.
