Drying out our greens before we chop and store them for the week!

Grocery stores wet down/mist produce. When placing wet produce into containers, bags, etc, bacteria builds and they begin to break down and get gross and mushy.

We dry them out prior to chopping and storage so they last longer :)

Collard Greens, Mustard Greens, and Rainbow Chard today.

We are calling on our followers for assistance!

In 2023, two Facebook users harassed and insulted me following a disagreement regarding proper leopard gecko care. The conflict began when some individuals recommended keeping leopard geckos in 10-gallon enclosures. This is unethical, as these animals require significantly more space to thrive. I shared information explaining why such small enclosures are inadequate, but the situation unfortunately escalated.

Beyond the personal attacks, these individuals posted defamatory reviews. Despite the fact that we have never done business with them, my repeated attempts to have Facebook remove these false claims have been unsuccessful. I was eventually told that Facebook will only take action if the reviews are reported by a large number of people.

We are asking for a moment of your time to help us report these false reviews so they can finally be removed. I have also provided screenshots documenting the harassment for context, and the initial report we made to the group admins where the harassment was taking place.

Thank you so much for your support! ♡

Commercial Food Review: Introducing Omni-Blocks!

Sarah, an entomologist based in Oregon, is the creator of Sundropvalley.com. She currently offers a handful of specialized products, with more currently in development. She is also planning on sending her blocks for a complete nutritional analysis.

Omni-Blocks are a frozen food option specifically formulated for omnivorous reptiles. Our blue-tongued skinks—including our pickiest eaters—absolutely love them, as do our butterfly agamas and sailfin dragons.

One pack of these come with 15 blocks. Each block has approximately 2 servings for an adult blue-tongued skink when feeding twice a week. That means the cost is a dollar per serving!

To cater to your animal's specific nutritional requirements, Omni-Blocks are available in various protein-to-plant ratios, including a dedicated diet blend for obese reptiles.
Available options include:
60:40 blend (typically used for juveniles)
40:60 blend (typically used for adults)
20:80 diet blend

With a focus on fresh ingredients, easily digestible invertebrate-based proteins, and nutrient-rich offal, these small-batch blocks are an excellent way to add variety to an omnivore's diet. They are also a high-quality solution for keepers who may not always have the time to prepare fresh food from scratch.

For herbivores, Veggie-Blocks are also available and have been successfully trialed with various tortoise species. We will soon be trying them with our agamids as well—keeping in mind fresh greens are always best for our herbivores, these are an excellent part of variety, or an excellent emergency option.

Carni-Blocks and Frosty Feeders are currently in production. Sarah rears and gut-loads her own Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) before freezing them to ensure optimal nutrient retention, with plans to expand to other invertebrates soon. These feeders thaw well and are enjoyed by many reptile species. She also incorporates these gut-loaded invertebrates into her Omni-Blocks, which we personally enjoy using as toppers for our own food mixes.

In addition to her food line, Sarah plans to breed Merauke blue-tongued skinks, for whom Omni-Blocks are already a dietary staple.

We will let the photos speak for themselves on how much our skinks loved the food!

Overall, we strongly recommend this item as part of your omnivores varied diets.

These babies haven't even had their first shed cycle yet, and they're already quite colorful!
