Never have there been so many LMs, CDs, IBCLCs, PTs, DCs, LMHCs as well as pregnant, not-yet-pregnant, and formerly-pregnant people on a single city block as today at the Birth Fair! The venue was perfect, and the company could not have been better IMHO.

Preparing your little ones for a new baby is its own kind of sacred work.
It’s about helping their hearts stretch. Talking about what babies need. Letting them ask honest questions. Reading books about becoming a big sibling. Reminding them that there is still space for them.
Children don’t just need information. They need reassurance. They need to know they are not being replaced, but invited into something bigger.
And when the day comes, we love welcoming big siblings here at the birth center - if that is what you want. Some people love that idea, others absolutely do not. It's your choice entirely. Meeting baby in a neutral, cozy space often feels like a beautiful in-between. Not the hospital. Not yet back home. Just a soft landing where everyone can gather, breathe, and become a bigger family together.
