Tinkerbell is 14 years young and walks with the air of a gentle sovereign. She’ll sit regally and stare up at you, a black void with big, beautiful eyes and delicate facial features. When she looks for attention, she will come up to you, tap a paw gently on your arm, and give a soft “meow”. Tinkerbell loves to snuggle and will find her way onto your bed at night, lay one paw on your hand and go quietly to sleep. When you wake up, she will greet you with a gentle “meow” and then patiently wait while you go through your morning routine.

Recently, Tinkerbell has started eating a kidney support diet. She can be a bit of a picky eater and definitely would really rather have the chicken dinner you are having. She will not try to steal your human food, but she will tap you on the arm and give you a reproving look to remind you that sharing is caring. If you tell her no, she might give you another tap but will get the hint after that and go eat her own food.

Tinkerbell needs daily brushing as she has trouble grooming her back due to her size. She appreciates the attention and scratches from the brushing. She also cannot jump to high surfaces like counters but will hop onto the couch and will hop/climb up on to the bed. She loves sunbeams and watching the birds and squirrels through the window. Mostly she wants to curl up next to you and be together.

Tinkerbell would do great in a home with adults and children old enough to be respectful of a senior cat’s quieter nature. She would be an amazing companion cat for someone who is home most of the time and wants a loving friend to stay near them.

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with age-appropriate vaccinations. Senior cats have an adoption fee of $100. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life.

Meet sweet Milo — an 11-month-old, 9-pound bundle of love, adventure, and puppy joy! Milo is everything you could want in a young pup: playful, curious, affectionate, and always ready to be part of the fun. Whether he’s zooming around the yard, tossing his toys in the air, or happily chewing on a bully stick, Milo brings happiness wherever he goes.

Milo loves adventures and absolutely adores his people. He’s potty trained, rides wonderfully in the car, and even handled his bath and nail trim like a champ at the groomer. He plays beautifully with other dogs and has also spent time with a cat, where he showed a gentle and playful nature.

This little guy could thrive as either an only dog or alongside another playful pup to become his new best friend. His ideal home would include a fenced yard where he can safely run, explore, and enjoy his puppy energy.

Milo was born with a neurological condition and was sadly surrendered to a local shelter because of it. The good news is that he is currently doing well on a very affordable medication, and research gives hope that his condition may fully resolve within the next few months. Through it all, Milo has remained nothing but loving, trusting, and full of life. He truly doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.

Milo is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. Because he’s still a young pup eager to learn, his future family will need to enroll him in puppy classes prior to adoption.

If you’re looking for a loyal little sidekick with a heart as big as his personality, Milo may be your perfect match. Please visit our website and fill out a statement of interest to meet this special boy!
