Service Dog Trainers use back end awareness with the cue “back.” Kenzie was taught when she a puppy before 16 weeks old how to use all of her body through various experiences and exercises. I was training her to be my husband’s Diabetic Assistant Dog, so the stakes were high. 😎. We’ve been working on “stay” at the threshold and the are doing AMAZING!
This really helps with impulse control and is super important to learn!
Mama Kenzie is in the corner and is being a really good example for her babies!

Walter () is training for public access! He goes to his forever home where he gets to help his human in just a couple weeks - and he is ready!
He gets all kinds of feel good chemicals when we do training in a happy mood and he gets to eat all kinds of yummy food. He’s a rockstar at squeezing into tight spaces to stay out of the way, but still be close to his human.

The are 8 weeks old today!!
They are getting so big that they barely fit in the frame!
A couple of the pups are going to their forever homes to start helping their humans in the next few weeks and the rest are going to stay until June to continue their service dog training.
Watching these cuties grow in size and smarts has been an amazing journey!
