Spend a Saturday sketching nature, no experience required. Join artist and Burke Museum Ornithology Collections Manager Madison Erin Mayfield for "Introduction to Scientific Illustration" on Saturday, June 27, 10:30 am – 3:30 pm at the Lightcatcher Studio (250 Flora St.).
You'll get a hands-on introduction to scientific illustration, practice observational drawing, and learn to sketch natural specimens in graphite, pen and ink, and watercolor. Open to all skill levels.
Registration includes museum admission, all class materials, and a take-home kit of pencils and pens to keep illustrating at home. The workshop includes a 30-minute lunch break, so bring a packed lunch or grab a bite nearby.
Members $120 | Public $140
