Meet Momo, a very sweet rabbit who recently came to see us for a painful dental spur that was making it uncomfortable to eat. 🐰🌼

Rabbits and guinea pigs have continuously growing teeth, which means dental issues can develop if their teeth do not wear down properly. Overgrowths and sharp spurs can cause pain, difficulty eating, drooling, weight loss, and other serious concerns.

With heavy sedation and specialized dental equipment, these painful areas can be safely addressed so patients like Momo can get back to feeling better.

Dr. Potter recently attended a continuing education lab focused on small mammal dentistry and is now providing rabbit, guinea pig, and rodent dental procedures here at Village Veterinary.

Momo should be feeling much better and ready to enjoy those spring dandelions. πŸŒΌπŸ’™
