42nd Legislative District Democrats

Instead of a regular membership meeting this month, the 42nd LD Democrats (with the 40th LD and Whatcom Dems) are hosting a Democratic candidate forum on Saturday, April 11 at 10am at the Bellingham Public Library (and on Zoom if you can't join in person)!

At the No Kings rally & march in Bellingham today, a huge crowd gathered together to say loud and clear that, in America, we have NO KINGS!

After hearing from some passionate and fired-up speakers, we took to the streets to march through downtown Bellingham.

BREAKING: The governor just signed HB 2242 into law! The legislation preserves continued access to affordable preventive health care services in Washington, including life-saving vaccines. The legislation updates state law so that coverage of vaccines is tied to recommendations from the Washington State Department of Health instead of federal guidance.

I'm glad VA fixed this unacceptable rule change, which would have reduced disability compensation for veterans taking medications for their symptoms. I will keep fighting to safeguard the benefits that veterans need.
