As recreational crabbing season starts in the Salish Sea this month, how are we doing in the fight against the invasive green crab? Are our native Dungeness crabs in danger?

Dan Tucker of the Whatcom Working Waterfront and Kevin Coleman of Bellingham SeaFeast talk with "citizen scientist" and KMRE field reporter Paul Meyer about the European green crab monitoring program in Whatcom County. Paul shares audio from a recent beach walk with Dr. Emily Grason, Marine Ecologist and Green Crab Lead with Washington Sea Grant.

Learn more about the fight against invasive green crabs by tuning in to the premiere of Love Your Waterfront this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. on KMRE 88.3 FM.
