Congratulations Linda Wright Photography for being the winner of our 2023 Heron Photo Contest!🥳
Linda took this photo a few years ago to be used for the promotion of a community-led campaign to save the Post Point Heron rookery in Bellingham. She is thrilled that the Land Trust and the City were able to partner together to purchase the buffer property around the rookery to sustain the heron’s local nesting habits. This means that the rookery will continue to remain intact, vital and active.
It is a big achievement to be celebrated! Thank you Linda for submitting this beautiful photo and thank you to everyone else who made submissions as well. Our staff had a very difficult time choosing a winner this morning - all of the submissions were fantastic.
