Part 7: What You’re Missing by Staying Quiet

1. Boldness Is the Overflow of Being with Jesus.

“The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13 NLT

Key Truth:
Boldness is not a personality trait; it is the overflow of a real relationship with Jesus.

2. A Church That Pleases God Prays for Boldness.

“And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word.” Acts 4:29 NLT

“After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4:31 NLT

Key Truth:
A church that pleases God does not ask God to make life easier; it asks God to make us bolder.

3. Boldness May Bring Opposition, but God Honors Obedience

“They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail.” Acts 5:18 NLT

“But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out.” Acts 5:19 NLT

“Go, stand in the temple courts… and tell the people all about this new life.” Acts 5:20 NLT

Key Truth:
When you walk in obedience to God, you will not be surprised by the miracles of God.
