Grayson County Speedway 7/17/21

Started outside row 1 in heat, car was still a touch to tight and developed a bad tire rub with 3 to go but managed to hang on and finish 2nd.
They redrew top 4 in heats. I dug to deep in the barrel and pulled a 12.

Starting outside row 6 of the feature, we knew we were going to have our work cut out getting to the front with the quality of guys in front of us.
A handful of laps in, and a couple spots closer to the front, we were collected in a caution and had to go the back. Restarted 19th.

The next dozen laps, with the help of a few more cautions, we somehow managed to keep our nose clean coming through the field and ended up restarting on the outside in 5th for the final restart.

With the track as slick as it was, the bottom was the only place to be and knew we had to get there to play defense. When the green dropped the guy starting under us seemed to have blown the tires off for a split second and it was just enough for us to gain the advantage diving into turn 1. Down the backstretch we fell in line and that was all we could do, finishing 4th.

Although it’s not where we wanted to be at the end of the night, it was our first time here and given the circumstances we had a hell of a race and couldn’t be happier! Thanks to everyone that helps out with the car!

Came up a car length short last night and finished second at Buffalo Creek But it’s a new day and we are headed to a new track for us. Headed to Grayson County to see if we can one up last night and steal a W.

Started 6th in the heat and drove up to 3rd. That gave us enough passing points to transfer to the A and avoid running a crazy B main.

Ran Buffalo Creek last night, started 3rd in the heat and struggled all 8 laps finishing 4th. Kevin helped throw a Hail Mary on setup for the feature and man did it feel good! Started 8th, had to go to the back about halfway through, but managed to avoid some late cautions and drove it back up to finish 2nd.

Didn’t plan on racing today but it felt good to be back in the car after several weeks off because of all the rain so new shoes are going on ol’ girl and we will see y’all at Greenville tonight!
