last week in review:

1. a shot of one of the seating areas at our rainflower project - we’re currently picking window treatments for the room

2. excited to get some art on the walls at our bendermere project - the color palettes we defined for each room are coming together with each piece

3. a big part of what we do as designers is review, discuss, and select textiles and fabric - what’s going to last, or feel soft? in this case, this alpaca fiber rug can do both. the neutral palette helps it fit in almost anywhere

4. the details during install are really where craftsmanship happens and while small, this LVP piece that (Horacio) made has a big impact on the quality of the floor and flow in this beach bungalow

5. having the floor down really starts to bring it together. this floor is floating and went directly down on the plywood subfloor, but Horacio leveled parts of it prior for a better feel and lasting install

6,7. on another construction project note, the team worked with us to make sure the curves at our woodland project matched the drawings exactly - it does look like much, yet, but designs come together in layers and this is a big one to celebrate

8. sometimes we have the opportunity to do private estate walk-throughs. this princeton townhome belonged to an architect and was filled with gems

9. an art piece from that walk-through. using pre-loved pieces like this one in designs adds a unique and timeless quality to a space and is often a great value.

spring has me thinking about transformation - we’ve certainly done it and here are some of the ways

1. we stopped by to review some of flooring options for our rainflower project. next step is bringing our favorite into the space

2. we looked at stone for the kitchen - we grabbed a sample for home but the reality is that it’s small compared to the actual stone so a picture for some context helps when reviewing

3,4. before and after of the kitchen at our pinewood project including a panel fridge, LEDs, and hidden outlets

5,6. the fireplace, too, in its completed glory

7. we had the opportunity to meet the winner of our tricky tray basket and hang the photo they won as a cheery piece in their bathroom

March brought a mix of progress, wrapping up, and fresh ideas across our projects.

1. This red bowl is sentimental and these new mirrors frame it beautifully + better reflect our client’s style

2. We had love that her new electric fireplace looks like it fits right in

3. This wall at our Woodland project is done with in veneziano finish

4. The color is custom and matched from the planned fabric

7. A light rail was installed at our Pinewood kitchen making the built in outlets and LEDs more subtle

We’re excited to celebrate Women in Construction Week and the impact women make across every phase of “the build.” Turns out, more inclusive teams lead to better decisions, safer job sites, and stronger project outcomes.

1. this wall started with prints from - we picked out a bold blue from the scenes to find the right console and painted the frames to match

2. lights on. lights off. these sconces are rechargeable and the perfect incremental update that will help our client know if they should invest in the electrical for hardwired in the future

3. these swivel chairs from and have a fun pattern that helped us blend our clients existing dark wood furniture with her vision for a soft neutrals palette

4. back at looking at remnants for a closet has designed and is building for our Bendermere project

5. i almost cried walking into - Nicole and Justin’s vision is impeccable and impactful

6. it’s been such an honor being a part of the team bringing it to life - thanks for the trust and

7. .sp made big progress on the fireplace at Pinewood - painting, lights, and tile next

8. has a bunch of shells we’ve collected over the years. in the spirit of found decor, we are making them into trinket trays. it’s small but i started it like most of our bigger projects, with primer.

9. this gave me the perfect opportunity to practice some staging and composition, too, with these pieces from

11. very happy with how this bouquet came out for our Bendermere client - thank you, it’s been such a joy making your house a new home

12. and a few leftovers in a fennel vase we found on Facebook market place while traveling - they make me smile any time I catch a glmpse

valentine’s day is my favorite holiday and I promise it’s not only because it involves a lot of pink (there’s hearts, too! 💕)

There was a lot to love last week. Shoutout to our clients who trust us deliver each thread and screw with care and give us the opportunity to share these moments.

1. a first fitting for custom roman shades at our rainflower project - excited to get them up some time next week

2. the client hasn’t had a chance to paint since she moved in a few years ago so we’re planning to paint the bathroom and bedroom as part of soft enhancements to the spaces

3. kicked off the fireplace remodel at our pinewood project with a slate hearth + framing

4. reviewing options for fireplace inset - color, size, pattern, and texture all considerations

5. this custom pantry was created with a layout update + thoughtfully planned shelves

6. a small peek at a house becoming home

7. we started production on this custom headboard

8. for the same project we’ve added a drop ceiling - prepped for LEDs - in the hallway to continue the vibe from bedroom to en-suite

9. had to share a picture of the dinner and I made - I’ve already made the chicken again

we made some big progress last week and not all of it the kind you can capture in photos. here’s a few that do:

1. taj quartz backsplash + sink fixtures installed at our pinewood project
2. the family moved in - client told us she felt “peaceful” cooking in the new space 🥲
3. updating stair components like the railing is one of those non-structural changes that can have a big impact
4. a casual moment
5. we’ve kicked off bringing this vision to life - an updated sample of the wallpaper is another step closer
6. sent us samples for our custom color match for the same project
7. we reviewed color swatches for a client’s bathroom - i’ll drop off larger cut outs this week of our favorites for her to look at throughout the day and make a final decision
8. still loving this bouquet - i find having pieces and arrangements that make you smile is critical during this cold weather

last week (and weekend) in review

0. it’s a bit surreal to be inside all weekend while knowing there’s chaos in our backyards. it’s worth it to take a moment to say, and repeat, that what’s happening is not right, it’s not ok, and it’s absolutely un-American. i’m not quite sure what to say, other than we feel it, too

1. we’re reviewing wallpaper for a few designs - this orchid one makes me happy and I like the size of the flower

2. this wall at our Rainflower project will be covered soon + other changes starring this sentimental red bowl

3. this art piece brings the family room at the same project closer to complete

4. the kitchen at our Bendermere project got final touches like a pot filler and handles

5. while outside the porch wraps up with new planks in Boardwalk and black aluminum railings - the “passing building inspection” was an added bonus
