Wright Way Farm

The storm rolled through while we were harvesting broccoli at the field today. Neither storms nor swarms of mosquitoes kept us from harvesting the crops for Beloit Farmers Market and Park Ridge Farmers Market tomorrow. While my face is safely behind my mosquito net, I am still smiling at the broccoli field!

Another long day behind us. The heat was brutal on the humans and animals, but the vegetables are loving it. This farmer is clocking out and heading to bed. 2a comes early, but we will be at the La Grange Farmers Market in the morning with freshly harvested, organic vegetables!

Baby cantaloupe and watermelon were spotted in the field today.

It was a long week, but it is satisfying to see our melons thriving. While they won't be at the Park Ridge Farmers Market or the Beloit Farmers Market this week, they will be there in about a month.
