If you’ve felt stunned, disoriented, or unsure what to say, you’re not alone. These are real responses to the horror that has been brought to light. Our nervous systems were not built to absorb this, especially in isolation.
It helps to speak what feels heavy.
It helps to sit with steady people who can hold truth without amplifying fear.
It helps to remember that we can stay informed without staying consumed.
We are collectively processing, and if you need someone to speak to too, we are here.
Every Thursday evening, we gather virtually to share, listen or simply be present with one another. Feel free to message us for details or see previous post.
You do not have to metabolize this alone.

Here’s what we’ll explore together:

Many of us are quick to say yes, even when our bodies are begging for rest. The tension headaches, stomach knots, or sleepless nights aren’t random—they’re signals that your body is carrying too much. Learning to pause before answering, to say “let me think about it,” or even “I’ll let you know how I feel that day,” is a skill worth practicing. It’s not about avoiding responsibility, it’s about respecting your limits and healing your nervous system.
If you’re ready to step into a new way of caring for yourself, our 8-week course begins in January. 🌿 Link in bio.

We never fully know what someone else is carrying. Maybe it’s trauma. Maybe it’s mental illness. Maybe it’s a brain overwhelmed by panic, paranoia, shame, or despair. These things change how people think, feel, and act.
Instead of sorting people into good or bad, kind or toxic, what if we saw behavior as communication? What if we paused long enough to ask, What might be behind this?
Hurt people, hurt people.
It’s not about excusing. It’s about noticing with care.
Empathy is love in motion. It’s a practice—one we need if we want to live in a more compassionate world.
Next time you catch yourself judging someone harshly, take a breath.
Be curious. Be discerning. And be kind.
