Reminder here to join us at Silver Moon Brewing this Saturday 1/24 starting at 6pm for our first live stream event of 2026. In the meantime please help us celebrate a handful of incredible memories from the previous year!
2025 was a year full of wonder and community for High Desert Music Collective, not to mention excellent music!
Early in the year HDMC was facing it's lowest point of activity & engagement with the 5th anniversary of its founding just months away. To grow as leaders and artists we know that these dips are the opportunity to cause breakthroughs in performance and creativity. This takes collective vision, commitment and passion and does not happen automatically. Through the convergence of dozens of community members generating and contributing, a renewed energy and focus formed.
We were honored to host a Roots Revival stage for the fifth time. What an epic way to raise money and awareness for an excellent music non-profit. Thank you to all the artists and hardworking folks that made it happen!
For the third year we hosted Keep Your Head Up to raise funds and spread the word about the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention. This is an important and challenging topic that is deeply meaningful for us at HDMC and we are grateful to create a space for music to connect and support us all. Thank you to everyone who donated and performed!
The leadership team put in months of work and High Desert Calling Vol. 2 was released on June 25th with over 80 artists from Central Oregon, the country and the world. We celebrated with a realease party festival with 17 artists from the compilation performing on four stages. We look forward to joining you this Saturday to to celebrate these compilations and the incredible artists & songs that continue to make them special.

Sun Dive have quickly gained a loyal local following, with highlights playing Bend Summer Festival and drawing a large crowd at The Commons Block Party series in downtown Bend. Although only being formed in the spring of 2025, Sun Dive brings together multi instrumentalists from backgrounds playing in bands in New Zealand, Oregon and California.
Fronted by Erin Cole-Baker’s vocals and vibrato washed Jazzmaster guitar, Sun Dive creates a soundscape - at times bringing the melodic hooks, and always surrounded by ambient space echoes.
The band's sound; "Drowsy, ambling dream-pop streaked with psychedelic guitar bits and draped in a shoegaze-y haze. It’s easy to imagine as the soundtrack to a sun-baked, slow-motion afternoon spent lounging alongside friends … or maybe more than friends?" - Ben Salmon, The Bulletin/Spin.com. A sound in the realms of Slow Pulp, Crumb, and The War On Drugs.
Sun Dive also got straight to work with their collective studio experience and have already released their first two singles “Possible” and “Earthquake” with an album due to be released in 2026.

The Color Study, live and in the studio, veers from quieter moments of melancholic instrospection to giant wall of sound sonic productions, a soundscape listening experience for indie / psych rock fans.

Annika Hankshaw writes folk songs with teeth. They dance along the tripped out margins of americana, rock & roll, and mythopoetic devotion. She plays lively finger-style guitar and knows deep in her heart that jackalopes are real.
