Is your data actually backed up… or just syncing? ☁️🕰️
Most people think iCloud is a full backup for all of their devices.

It’s not.

Here’s the simple breakdown:

📱 iPhone & iPad iCloud DOES:

• Automatically back up your iPhone or iPad (when enabled)
• Keep your photos, contacts, and notes synced across all your
devices
• Help free up storage on your device

This is one way you can restore your phone with your photos, messages, and settings if you upgrade or replace it

💻 Mac Computer iCloud DOES (on Mac):

• Sync Desktop & Documents across devices
• Keep files available on all your Apple devices
• Help free up storage on your Mac

iCloud DOES NOT fully back up your Mac

• It only syncs select folders like Desktop and Documents
• Deleting a file removes it from all devices instantly
• It does NOT restore your apps, system settings, or full
computer
• If your Mac fails, iCloud alone cannot restore everything

Time Machine DOES:

• Create a complete, automatic backup of your entire Mac
• Store everything safely on an external drive
• Restore your Mac exactly as it was — files, apps, and settings included

The Bottom Line:
✅ iCloud = Sync + iPhone & iPad backup + storage optimization
✅ Time Machine = Full Mac backup

You need both to fully protect your data.

Position Summary
The Front Desk Associate is the first point of contact for customers at MacTek. This role is responsible for greeting clients, managing service intake, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, tech-savvy, and enjoys helping people solve problems with their devices.

Key Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and provide professional, friendly service.
Check in devices for repair, accurately document issues, and customer information.
Communicate repair estimates, timelines, and service updates clearly.
Answer phone calls, emails, and online inquiries in a prompt, professional manner.
Process payments, invoices, and maintain accurate transaction records.
Manage appointment scheduling and repair queue.
Keep the front area clean, organized, and welcoming.
Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
Handle basic troubleshooting or product questions when possible.
Assist with sales of accessories, devices, and protection plans.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Comfortable using computers and POS systems.
Interest in technology, especially Apple products, is a plus.
Prior experience in retail, tech support, or customer service preferred.
