We’re tickled pink (again!) to team up with The Source Weekly in support of their annual Central Oregon Gives fundraiser! Both Makin’ It Local and High Desert Frameworks are thrilled to be back as weekly sponsors — fourth year running and still grinning!

Here’s how it works: choose from 80 amazing Central Oregon nonprofits and donate whatever you can to spread some hometown love. When you give $25 or more, you’ll snag a little thank-you perk (because giving should feel good and fun!).

Week 3 (Nov 20–26):
Our friends at High Desert Frameworks are offering a free 8x10 photo print for every $25+ donation. Plus, Metaheads Boutique and Powder House have fabulous prize drawings!

Week 5 (Dec 4–10):

It’s The Source Weekly’s joyful, year-end hub for local giving — a digital platform connecting donors to 80 incredible nonprofits doing big things right here at home. Each donation gets you a cool perk (coffee, beer, prints, you name it), and every dollar goes straight to the nonprofit. The top fundraisers even earn bonus prizes from generous matching donors. This year’s goal? A cool $1 million for good.

A Living Tradition

More than a festival, Día de Mu***os is a tradition rooted in Indigenous practices from nations such as the Mexica, Zapotec, Purépecha, and Maya.

Across generations and geographies, families light candles, build altars, and share offerings of food, music, and flowers to welcome the spirits of loved ones.

Downtown Bend comes alive this Friday with art, culture, music, and community magic!

Join the Central Oregon Community for the Día de los Mu***os Celebration, happening throughout downtown from 4–10 PM, featuring altars, food, live music, dancing, and vibrant cultural experiences that honor loved ones. Then, continue the celebration during the First Friday Art Walk, as local businesses open their doors to art exhibits, special events, and evening fun.

Location: Minnesota Avenue between Bond Street and Lava Street.
