I'm so impressed with CampFire Central Oregon's snack policy for camp! My kids started today in the SummerKids program, held at Juniper Elementary. I received this email:
If you think your child might be prone to hunger during the day, feel free to send as many fruits and veggies as you'd like for them to snack on! We believe that the healthiest foods can be the yummiest, and we look forward to the opportunity to promote healthy eating habits at SummerKids. Please make sure your child does not bring processed sweets or candy to camp.
