My daughter just told me that the first thing that grows in the womb is the A**s, and most never grow past that!
ROFLMAO
she's such a smart ass just like her momma!

The government just fired over 5,000 people who protect our public lands across the National Park Service, Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and more.

Layoffs include National Park Rangers, Backroad and Trail Technicians, Wildfire Mitigators, even bathroom cleaners, locksmiths and more. Without them, our public lands have begun to fall into disrepair.

But this doesn’t just affect your vacation… It also affects your water. Your air. Depending on where you live, it could affect your town’s level of fire safety. And it means that fewer people are out in the field checking to make sure corporations aren’t breaking laws.

At the same time as these layoffs, executive orders attack laws like the Clean Water Act to make destruction for profit even easier. The recent federal moves to slash environmental protections are being celebrated by CEOs, and having fewer people around to keep industry in check means they can cut costs by polluting our air and water more.

This is one of the many moves the admin said they would do to remove protections for our public lands and waters. Many, many more are on the horizon - and each will require a specific local response.

Don’t get me wrong - I think both parties are stupid. They’ve each made it clear that they don’t care about our interests and it’s far more important to stick together as a people than bend to politicians. So my friends and I made a way for you to learn when there’s a real opportunity for action in your state.

If there’s anything we can come together on as a country, it’s our public lands. And given the plans they’ve outlined, we’re about to have a lot to work together on.

So let’s come together in advance. The time has come to protect our lands and waters ourselves. All the form asks for is your email and state, and you can join if you’re international. It takes 5 seconds to sign up and the link is in my bio.

With fierce love,
Alex

UPDATE: In just a few minutes, over 250 leaders from 45 states and abroad have already signed up. Y’all are incredible.
