KIDS Center was in Madras last week for a joint training on domestic violence with these community partners:

–Jefferson County Victim's Assistance
–Jefferson County Sheriff's Office
–Jefferson County D.A.s Office
– Warm Springs Victims of Crime
–Saving Grace
–The at:Project

KIDS Center staff provided training and info around our Domestic Violence Child Witness Program, which offers immediate support to parents and children who have been impacted by domestic violence.

In a single appointment at KIDS Center, a parent can:

– meet an Advocate in person and ask questions.
– learn about their rights as a victim of crime.
– give their child the opportunity to talk about their experience with a specially-trained interviewer.
– get information on local resources.
– understand options for their family moving forward.

We were grateful to spend time with the many dedicated community partners of Jefferson County working to support children and families. 🩷
