I’m not sure if I ever shared these photos, now four years ago of when Tom proposed and Pixel and Sage helped🥰 I’m so grateful he included them, I love looking back and seeing them there with us💕

POV you’re a plastic bag attached to a lure, all whippets eyes will be on you! 😆 thank you Beth Gordon / Skinny Dog Photography for the fun photos from the fast FastCAT event!

Throwback to my first week with baby Pixel💕 It’s been almost 8 years since this pic, what a wild ride it’s been with miss Pix, she was the kind of puppy that makes you want another, but I’m sure I’m just forgetting all the naughtiness!😅

These photos of Pixel made my day🙌🏻 the face of pure joy chasing that trash bunny at the FastCAT event earlier this month, makes me so happy☺️ definitely needed this after the week we’ve had, thank you for the beautiful photos!

Met some new friends last weekend at the Cascade Whippet Club’s FastCAT event in Molalla! Tiffany Blue the Italian greyhound got her FCAT title🎉, Tango the Saluki ran his last run of his fastCAT career (he’s almost 14!), the beautiful Ruby the Italian Greyhound was there, we’ve seen her at Lure coursing before, and we met this little French bulldog Domino who’s got a great smile🤗

Pixel had a great time like always! I couldn’t believe she was the oldest whippet there! I’m taking her stretching and conditioning more seriously as she gets older, I just got the Psoas Power program from Dogs4motion Academy and am eager to learn more! Has anyone ever used their program with their dog? Interested to see if you saw improvements!

Life and health updates! Pixel is seeing an internal medicine vet this Friday to get some GI bloodwork and possible scope done to see what’s going on with her acid reflux and slow motility. Being on a hydrolyzed protein diet for over a month has not been fun for her, she barely likes the food and is sad to not get her daily dental chews or enjoy a few fruits and veggies or get the same treats as all the other dogs when we go somewhere. I have to be so careful all she gets is her kibble. It’s but a stop to sports in general, she’s just not motivated by her kibble. The only thing she can have fun in right now is FastCAT which we will be attending this weekend so excited for that.

Sage needs to see her cardiologist, in the span of 10 months she went from stage 3 heart murmur to early heart failure and it’s been 8 months since her last diagnosis, and I’ve noticed she’s slowed down quite a bit on walks and her murmur is really prominent when you touch her. I really think all her heart meds have been helping (Pimobendan, Spironolactone, Furosemide, Enalapril for heart. Gabapentin for pain. Prednisolone for IBD). She only occasionally does that hacking thing so I see that as a win. I’m just trying to be aware of her limits, I’m glad we got the stroller for her.

My own health update! They did remove a polyp during my colonoscopy, I haven’t heard back on if it’s of any concern, but I’m so glad I got it done and they removed it before it could grow more. They don’t even recommend colonoscopies for people under 40, but I’m 34. My endoscopy showed some lower esophageal inflammation, which makes sense with acid reflux (me and Pixel are so alike!), and I’m waiting back on some biopsies. I had some precancerous cells in my stomach at 31 so that’s why it was important to test again, I’m glad I got it done. Hoping it all comes back good news this time. I can’t believe how prevalent gut and colon cancer it is young people these days. It’s important to get checked if you can!

I’m not sure how Argos feels about Pixel, but Pixel is smitten with her border collie friend☺️ (and Sage is inside ready to throw hands if Argos steps foot inside😆)

Finally got a chance to go through the photos I took at our last greyhound walk over the weekend. We had many new friends show up, like Ace and Mochi the Italian Greyhounds, Honey, Lucy and Copper the Greyhounds, and Picasso and Haese the Spanish terrier and galgo! So fun to see everyone and meet new friends🙌🏻🩷🐾
