11,200 people turn 65 every DAY; that is 4.1 MILLION every year. 68 MILLION people are on Medicare. Over half of them are on Medicare Advantage and most of the other half should be (but I digress). My question is this: WHO IN THE HILLBILLY HELL DECIDED THAT IT WAS NECESSARY TO FORCE 68 MILLION PEOPLE THROUGH OPEN ENROLLMENT IN JUST 53 DAYS? YES, I’m yelling! Make that 51 days with the blackout for Thanksgiving. Oh and add to that the fact that Medicare didn’t release the drug formulary tables until last week. If you shopped early and aren’t my client, you need to look at your drug costs. We are seeing significant differences between what we first quoted and what is showing now on A LOT of common drugs. If you are my client we have already re-shopped you and have contacted those who needed to move (again). This has been hands down the wildest AEP I have experienced to-date. We all deserve “I survived” tshirts. Oh yeah, did I mention the ongoing battle with the Iunatic at Baptist who thinks he can personally drive MAPDs out of the market? Stupid much? More on that later 🤦‍♀️
