Camp Complete: Future Leaders Have Arrived!

Mission accomplished! Our incredible Army JROTC cadets have officially completed Leadership Camp, and we could not be more proud of their journey.
Between the grueling physical demands and the constant rainy weather, it would have been incredibly easy to complain—but that’s not who our cadets are. Instead of letting the wet, muddy conditions bring them down, they chose to persevere, lift each other up, and master every single challenge over the course of the camp:

The Obstacle Course: Powering through the mud, scaling slick walls, and conquering barriers with pure grit.

One-Rope Bridge & Rappelling: Defying gravity, overcoming fears, and trusting their knots and teamwork to conquer the heights.

Cadet Physical Fitness Challenge: Pushing past exhaustion and giving 100% to test their true strength and endurance.

Map Reading: Navigating tough, wet terrain and keeping their focus sharp under pressure.

Archery: Showing steady hands, patience, and incredible discipline despite the damp conditions.

Water Operations: Tackling water survival and team drills with absolute confidence.

By choosing motivation over complaints and resilience over comfort, they did more than just pass the tests—they set the ultimate example of what true leadership looks like. They return home stronger, more united, and fully prepared to lead from the front.

Unstoppable in the Rain!

Our Army JROTC cadets are absolutely knocking it out of the park on Days 2 and 3 of Leadership Camp! Even with constant rainy weather throwing a wet blanket on the week, their spirits and determination haven't dampened for a second.

They’ve adapted, overcome, and completely crushed every challenge:

Map Reading: Navigating tough terrain and keeping their focus sharp, even while reading maps in a steady downpour.

Archery: Showing incredible discipline and steady hands to hit those bullseyes despite the slick conditions.

Water Operations: Making a splash and tackling water survival and team drills with confidence—a little extra rain just added to the adventure!

We are incredibly proud of their resilience, positive attitudes, and unmatched teamwork. They are showing exactly what true leadership looks like when the elements test them.

Camp Update: Leading the Way!

A huge shoutout to our incredible Army JROTC cadets currently attending the JROTC Leadership Camp!

From dawn till dusk, they have been pushing their limits, conquering the obstacle courses, mastering land navigation, and demonstrating what true teamwork looks like. Their discipline, grit, and leadership have been absolutely outstanding.

We are incredibly proud of how they are representing our program and stepping up to every challenge. Keep leading from the front, cadets!

The Panther Battalion did not have a uniform inspection this week because the cadets are getting ready for the Military Ball this weekend. We were able to still promote three of our company commanders to the rank of Captain. Congratulations to Cadet Captain Leah Saunder, Cadet Captain Jocelyn Banda-Cabrera, and Cadet Captain Jace Clayton.

Last week, some cadets from the Panther Battalion visited the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum, where they were given a tour of the USS Razorback. The USS Razorback, a World War II Submarine, was built in September 1943 and commissioned on April 3, 1944. She is the longest-serving combat front-line submarine existing in the world today, and has been commissioned by two different countries for 56 years of active duty. The USS Razorback made her official homecoming to North Little Rock, Arkansas in June 2004. The cadets also visited the B-17 Memorial Park located near Sheridan in Grant County. The B-17 Memorial Park is the location of a B-17 crash site in 1943. The site also honors Grant County veterans killed in action since World War I. The park also pays tribute to Civil War soldiers, both Confederate and Union, who fell during the Battle of Jenkins Ferry, which occurred nearby.
