3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

I heard of a lady who was a hypochondriac. She constantly was complaining and moaning over her illnesses. If someone mentioned an illness, it would not be long until she had it. After a while, others began to ignore her complaining and frequently would comment about their doubts as to whether she was really that sick. When the lady died, she had engraved on her tombstone, along with the proper dates, “See, I told you I was sick.”

What will others remember about you after you are gone?

The impact your life had on others is not what is etched on a tombstone. The heritage you leave behind will be the influence you had on others. Leave them an example of a life committed to God. Let your legacy be a reverence for God.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

We must be aware of self-centeredness and instead practice self-forgetfulness. As born again believers, we are not designed to stay forcused on ourselves. Our focus, now, is to be on God and those around us (Matthew 22:37-40).

God has equipped you to live supernaturally by giving you the Spirit Of Himself. Now, through His power, you can turn your attention away from yourself and focus on Him and others.
