During NeighborWorks Weeks 2026, Fahe is proud to highlight the ongoing disaster recovery and homebuilding work happening in Eastern Kentucky through our partnership with Fahe Member Housing Development Alliance (HDA).

At Chestnut Ridge in Knott County, HDA has built 17 homes so far, with additional homes planned and families already moving in, including the Haney family pictured in front of their new home. At Skyview Estates in Perry County, 5 homes have been completed and sold, with 21 more currently under construction.

This work reflects the long-term partnerships and commitment needed to help communities recover, rebuild, and expand housing opportunities across Appalachia.

Fahe is pleased to share this important policy framework from Partners for Rural Transformation.

PRT’s priorities speak directly to what rural and Native communities facing persistent poverty need: sustained investment, stronger local capacity, and policies that recognize the leadership and potential already present in these places.

This work aligns closely with Fahe’s commitment to advancing opportunity across Appalachia through housing, capital, and community-led solutions.

Partners for Rural Transformation (PRT) released its policy framework on Tuesday, including four priorities to unlock economic opportunity and address decades of underinvestment in rural and Native communities facing persistent poverty across the country.

The framework elevates public policies and private frameworks that encourage, incentivize, and increase investment into rural and Native communities facing persistent poverty while building local capacity.
