The United States Postal Service has announced a temporary price increase that’s going to impact a lot of everyday shipping. Beginning April 26, 2026, rates for services like Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, USPS Ground Advantage, and Parcel Select will increase by about 8%. This change is expected to remain in place through January 17, 2027, and is tied directly to rising transportation and fuel costs across the industry.
For anyone shipping regularly, whether it’s personal packages or business orders, this means you’ll likely start noticing slightly higher costs, especially on heavier shipments or anything traveling longer distances. While USPS still remains one of the more affordable carriers overall, these adjustments can add up quickly if you’re not paying attention to how you’re shipping.
That’s where we come in. At OBITCO, we’re constantly working across multiple carriers and solutions to make sure you’re not overpaying. We can help compare options between USPS, UPS, FedEx, and others, look at your packaging to reduce unnecessary weight or size, and make sure you’re choosing the most cost-effective method every time.
Stop in and let us help you stay ahead of the changes. Shipping prices may be going up, but that doesn’t mean your costs have to.

Uhm…. This is just terrible.
First-class stamps could soon cost you 95 cents as the Postal Service warns it will "run out of cash" in a year without changes: http://www.wusa9.com/article/news/nation-world/usps-stamp-price-hike-proposed-first-class/507-384368e9-3b61-4b27-be73-08abcf7b0cb4?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_WUSA_9

Silver is CRASHING… or at least that’s what the market wants you to think.
Last night in U.S. trading, silver spiked over $118 and has since slid to around $77 as of this post. So is it time to PaNiC SeLL? Absolutely not (and yes, we are still buying from customers if you are looking to move some metal).
What most people do not realize is the difference between U.S. and world markets. Historically, U.S. silver pricing runs about 8 to 10% lower than global trade. Right now, Shanghai silver is hovering around $123, which would normally point to U.S. pricing closer to $110 an ounce. So why the disconnect today?
There are a few big factors in play. COMEX physical silver requirements are at an all time high, and available physical inventories are extremely tight. On top of that, it is month end, when banks rebalance positions and hedge with selloffs, which often puts temporary pressure on prices.
What does that mean for the U.S. market? In our opinion, we could still see some softness today and possibly into Monday unless world markets drop too. After that, we expect a gradual snap back toward that normal global offset range.
Bottom line. Do not panic. Stay calm. Keep stacking!
