Father’s Day Reflection

When I was a kid, I’d go with my parents to their grocery store, proudly wearing one of their aprons. I wanted to be just like them.

Now my own daughters have grown up seeing me push through early mornings and long days in the lab. I still remember them as little girls, laughing and making a mess with plaster, trying to copy what I do.

I’ve always believed that our habits are caught, not just taught.

My girls have been competitive dancers for years. It took early mornings, long nights, and all the effort in between. And now, with my oldest in college and my second just graduating high school, I find myself hoping more than ever that I’ve modeled the kind of example they can carry with them into adulthood.

Work hard. Be kind. Prioritize family.

Here’s to all the dads doing the same — Happy Father’s Day!
