As we honor Black History Month, we lift our voices in gratitude, remembrance, and hope.
Today, the choir and congregation of First Pres Berkeley joined together in singing Lift Every Voice and Sing—a song born of struggle, faith, resilience, and unshakable hope.
This hymn reminds us that Black history is not only something we remember, but something that continues to shape our faith, our music, and our call to justice and love. We sing to honor those who came before us, to tell the truth about where we’ve been, and to commit ourselves to where God is still calling us to go—together.
