Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd offered an apology to the Indigenous Peoples of Australia on February 13, 2008. But as Professor Marcia Langton (Yiman & Bidjara) explains, when genocide has occurred, there must be repatriations. As we explore in our video, what good is an apology if action does not follow?

Mining waste has many negative impacts on health, as seen in the Rocky Mountains, where mining has led to toxic metals in drinking water. Children especially have been vulnerable to heavy metals like lead, cadmium and arsenic, which damage the brain and the nervous system.
