We are celebrating q***r joy this Pride with an expanded program featuring special classes with two stellar out of town teachers, DJ Nico, a performance to swoon over and all the love we can fit in the room.

-6:00-7:00 pm All-levels class Lise Brody from Q***r Tango Boston
-7:00 - 8 pm All-levels Chacarera class with Carlos Blanco from Q***r Tango Mexico
-8:00 -11:00 pm DJ Nico, goodies and bubbly in the back room
9:00 pm Carlos and Sandeep perform! Plus our birthday vals and our community dance

COST
This is a fundraiser and the entrance fee is new: pay as you wish. We are asking for up to 2 hours of what you make at work*

—->100% goes to making q***r tango possible. Donations from out of towners and folks who can make it happily accepted.

Did you know that fundraising is a line item on our budget for the year? To pay our teachers and DJs, to compensate our organizers and cover all expenses, while also reaching dancers at income levels in our community, Abrazo counts on fundraising to meet our yearly budget.

Abrazo is also a part of a growing and beautiful q***r tango community outside of the SF Bay Area. As other q***r tango communities do not have our fundraising reach and need support to operate, we reserve 10% of what we raise to support them. We believe in a circular economy that benefits all of us, that helps us all grow, and your donation supports this mission. Or as my mom used to tell me, “If we all had more, we’d all have more.”

Your support is deeply appreciated. For the past 15 years, Abrazo has operated on a simple idea: that we are the people we have been waiting for. That together, we can create a place where q***r, trans, non-binary, black and brown dancers, dancers of all ages and abilities can come as we are and dance as we wish.

-6/14 Luna Beller-Tadiar from QT NYC
-6/21 Lise Brody from QT Boston (she's also teaching our premilonga class on 6/20)
-6/28 NO CLASS. Happy Pride.

Classes are limited to 22 dancers. Register to save your spot. Walk-ins always welcome, if there is room in the class.

✨ CLASS SCHEDULE

-3:15-3:30 pm Check-in
-3:30-4:30 pm Fundamentals class. Who will benefit: new dancers and all-level dancers who want to focus on tango basics to advance their dance.

-4:30-5:30 pm Practica - socialize, practice, enjoy life + tea and treats station: bring a cup and goodies to share when you wish!

-5:30-6:30 pm Deeper dive class. Who will benefit: dancers with 8 or more tango classes, who have an understanding of tango basics, and who want to go deep on special topics, getting more into technique, steps and pivots, spirals and joy.

$15-25 honor system sliding scale per class. $10 Students students with ID.
