Voting is open through July 14 for the latest with the theme of Opulent Halloween. Tasked with a non traditional palette, I drew this gothic colony of bats in a golden timbered belfry with opulent jewel toned details.

After a night hike in the Costa Rican rain forest I had a new appreciation for the bats swooping and diving all around us, inches from our face. Though thrilling an magical, I may have shrieked once or twice. What are your thoughts on bats?
