The main theme of my recent Hawaii trip: vulnerability. At the time, I was 6 weeks post-op from top surgery, and exposing my chest for the first time in public amidst getting weird looks from strangers was both exciting and terrifying. But being able to wear the swimwear I’ve always wanted to wear, feeling my chest whoosh through the water (whoosh is totally a word, right?), and swim in the Pacific Ocean at one of my favorite places on Earth was, again, vulnerable but extremely freeing and peaceful. Here’s to more experiences and moments of vulnerability and gender euphoria 💛🤍💜🖤
