The Berkeley Potters Guild is proudly opening our doors for an exclusive, rare peek behind the scenes July 18 & 19.

🔸Participating in the inaugural NATIONAL CRAFT OPEN STUDIOS WEEKEND, sponsored by the esteemed American Craft Council we will offer guided tours through our historical building to see studios AS IS.

🔸 Lucky visitors may even see an artist at work. . . as well as 55 year old hand built brick gas kilns with smoke stacks so tall they seem to disappear into the clouds, whimsical shiny electric kilns that look like R2 D2’s cousins, an abundance of magical potters wheels, pug mills, slab rollers, bamboo brushes galore, gigantic buckets of glazes, colorful bottles of underglaze, beautiful bamboo pottery tools, & many more cool accoutrements.

🔸 Our new summer Gallery display is inviting & ready for guests to enjoy. Come see, come browse, come discover the offerings we wish to share, as we take our first steps towards becoming a non profit gathering place for clay lovers, students, collectors, & makers as we continue to serve & welcome our community as we have since 1971 !
