65 miles. 3 days. 2 nights. One unforgettable adventure.

The inaugural WI NICA Bikepacking Adventure is officially in the books! πŸŽ‰

Our crew pedaled the La Crosse River Trail, Elroy-Sparta State Trail, and 400 State Trail, carrying everything needed for three days on two wheels.

Along the way, student-athletes learned to pack and ride bikes loaded with gear, set up camp, cook dehydrated meals, and filter water. We camped under the stars ✨ AND in the rain 🌧️, traveled through more than two miles of old railroad tunnels πŸ”¦, discovered cool art, explored historic trail towns, laughed a lot, and made new friends.

And through it all? Pure NICA vibes. πŸ’™

Shared challenges. Big smiles. Teamwork. Independence. Adventure. And memories that only happen when you load up a bike and see where the trail takes you.

Adventure complete… next stop, Nicolet National Forest in August! πŸš΅β€β™‚οΈπŸ•οΈβœ¨

There is nothing quite like 3 days at the NICA National Conference! πŸš΅πŸ’š

Last week, five WI NICA leaders joined league staff, volunteers, and board members from across the country to learn, collaborate, and be inspired. Between conference sessions, trail rides, and countless conversations, we shared ideas, celebrated successes, and tackled challenges together.

From coaching and athlete development to marketing, fundraising, risk management, and building strong league cultures, every session reinforced the incredible impact we can make for youth through mountain biking.

The best part? Bringing those fresh ideas, new connections, and renewed energy back to Wisconsin. We cannot wait to put what we learned into action as we continue growing opportunities for every student-athlete, coach, and family in our league.

A huge thank you to the NICA national staff, presenters, and volunteers for creating another outstanding conference. The future of youth mountain biking is brighter than ever! πŸŒ²πŸš²πŸ’š
