Join the art party to make Slingshot #144 this weekend Feb. 21/22 / Sat.Sun. noon - late Saturday -- 10 am - 8 pm Sunday (meeting to look over pages and pick cover Sunday around 8 pm )- Tell a friend.

You don't have to be an artist -- there's editing, proofreading, headline writing, being DJ...

The articles are good -- if you've been missing the Long Haul and want to meet some new folks and spend time doing something nourishing, creative, fun and exciting, drop by.

p.s. it's especially helpful for folks to come during the daytime hours when there's less people and more space vs. everyone showing up at 8 pm

---->We need back cover art / an idea
----> seeking heartfelt full-color cover art by Sunday afternoon.
----> If you live near an office supply store or an art supply store and can get some supplies before Saturday morning, we need 1 reed 24 lb. paper (which is thicker than usual paper) and 1 box of ultra thin sharpies - we will reimburse.
----> - if you have time to proofread a few articles Saturday before 3 pm drop by or email back.

BONUS:
-----> Help us with MAILING the next 3 weekends. we-re going to print more than 40,000 copies and mailing all those papers is a giant project - times TBA
----> We need help getting supplies for the mailing from the bulk mailing center next week
-----> PRISONER MAIL there is a box of hundreds of prisoner letters that needs to have their addresses typed into a database so they can get a free issue - for logistical reasons you need to be in the Bay Area - help an inmate out

Here's pictures of the 2026 organizer. We will be sending them to independent bookstores, radical projects, co-ops and distributors in September and October. Slingshot is an all-volunteer project — we don't have enough volunteers to do retail distribution ourselves. See your local brick and mortar spot or one of the mail-order distributors listed on our website - Slingshotcollective.org. There are 16 colors in three types: classic pocket style, pocket size with a spiral binding, and a desk calendar with a spiral binding. Here's this year's names of the colors:
