Today we celebrate our “December” graduating from high school. Like the changing seasons, this change ushers in a new chapter for our family and our soon-to-be empty nest. As we’ve watched the baby robins fly the nest around us this spring, we can’t help but see Nathan, and we couldn’t be more proud of him. Proud of his determination, creativity, leadership, quick wit, and gentle heart and soul. Often the first to the top of the mountain during our hikes, he still pauses enough to notice the snail on the trail to run back and share what he found. We know that whatever path he takes - it will be winding, full of adventure, fun, unexpected finds, and have a few obstacles along the way. He starts his new season on the banks of the red cedar.
