Uh oh....
We’re So Confused: The Problems With Food and Exercise Studies Among the drawbacks: poorly designed research, a variety of ways to measure and report outcomes, and a bias toward reporting “interesting” results.
If you're attending EB 2016 and interested in an excellent professional development opportunity, speed mentoring is the perfect opportunity to introduce you to experts in industry, academia, government, and non-governmental organizations!
ASN's Student Interest Group (SIG) and Early Career Nutrition Interest Group (ECN) are coordinating Speed Mentoring; similar to speed dating, students will have an opportunity to meet with mentors from a variety of sectors. This year, we'll be pairing up 2 students with each mentor; students will then have the chance to rotate through several groups of mentors. The final 30 minutes will be an open networking session where you can speak with anyone that particularly sparked your interest. Brief bios of mentors will be available to session attendees beforehand so you can prepare questions ahead of time.
Speed Mentoring will be held Monday, April 4, 7:30-9:30 pm, in the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, room Aqua AB. You must be registered for EB 2016 and be a student member of ASN to participate.
If you'd like to participate, RSVP to Mary Christoph ([email protected]) with "Speed Mentoring RSVP" in the subject line. Please include a brief statement about yourself and what type of job you’ll be looking for upon graduation so that we can pair you with mentors who fit with your interests/goals.
