SHOPS Plus Sustaining Health Outcomes through the Private Sector (SHOPS) Plus is USAID’s flagship initiative in private sector health.

An assessment conducted by the SHOPS project found that many Guatemalans, regardless of income level, seek health care in the private sector. It also found that too many individuals pay for health care out of pocket, and only 5 percent have private health insurance. http://bit.ly/1nUmHVW
