Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) of the v***a is the most common type of v***ar cancer. It starts in the squamous cells โ the flat cells on the outer layer of v***ar skin.

โก๏ธ There are currently no screening tests for v***ar cancer. Thatโs why v***ar selfโexams are vitally important. Knowing your normal helps you recognize when something changes.
โก๏ธ A biopsy is the ONLY way to diagnose SCC.
No clinician โ no matter how experienced โ can diagnose or rule out v***ar cancer by sight alone. If you have persistent symptoms, always advocate for yourself and insist on a biopsy. Your life is worth the push.
๐ Please share this information. Someone in your circle may be silently struggling, and your post could be the reason they seek help.

IT'S THAT TIME OF THE MONTH AGAIN ๐ช
First, take a deep breath, and look at this as part of your self-care routine rather than an uncomfortable task. When you're ready, begin by getting into whatever position helps you actually see everything โ standing, squatting, sitting over a handheld mirror, or lying back on your bed with your legs open. Whatever feels easiest and comfortable for you.
Now take a slow look around:
โจ๏ธ Look at the area where your p***c hair grows. Notice any moles, spots, bumps, rashes, white patches, red spots, pimples, moles, lumps, or anything that just looks โnewโ or โoff.โ
โจ๏ธ Find your cl****is and check for any bumps, growths, moles, lumps, white or red raised patches, or other changes in color.
โจ๏ธ Look at your l***a majora (the outer lips). Feel for any lumps and look for moles, rashes, sores, white or red patches, or wartโlike growths.
โจ๏ธ Do the same with your l***a minora (the inner lips).
โจ๏ธ Then check your perineum โ that little space between the va**na and the a**s. Look for bumps, rashes, sores, or anything unusual.
And hereโs the big thing: If you see something that doesnโt look right, donโt ignore it. Even tiny changes matter. Reach out to your doctor and get it checked. Vulvar cancer is very treatable when itโs caught early.
Thereโs no screening test for v***ar cancer โ the only way to know for sure is with a biopsy. Thatโs why these selfโchecks are so important.
Sharing this helps other women learn how to check their v***as too โ and that knowledge can truly save lives.
