I envisioned a movie of vast cultural influence and more than a movie – a movement and so it is -in under 3 weeks alone our trailer has hit over 128 Million views across all social platforms. As a woman, a person of faith and a producer it was important to me to bring MARY’s voice in a bigger way to the world. People of all ages and faiths know about the immaculate conception, the manager the birth of Jesus- this is her story – as she was bound by faith and driven by courage- we also wanted to give Joseph a voice as well his incredible commitment and love on this high stakes, against all odds journey and understand her family, her parents as well - starring as Mary, as Joesph and as King Herod and and as Anna The Prophetess as young Mary and the rest of the cast .steph .keren Thank you to my fellow producers, Leader, Harris and Hormel, creating this script from 2020 and our director and the rest of our crew in Europe and Morocco. Our movie starts in 1986 before the disabilities act was put in action in 1988 – (another words if you had to call a doctor you had to run to your neighbor’s house there was no zoom or even subtitles nothing)
– times have changed but they need to keep changing We believe our film will help that as well – as all the Deaf roles in front the camera will be authentic and behind the camera it’s about inclusion in many ways.
Jevon Whetter is our writer/ director , his personal true-life story about as a bullied Deaf track runner who seeks an opportunity at a
School for the deaf with an unmotivated team and a deaf Track Coach having a midlife crisis. In the vein of and Away.
It’s about overcoming adversity and triumph! Jessica Alba is a role model to so many as an actress and business mogul with the Co, is already starting to learn ASL now.
My producing partner on this project is Del Whetter a deaf producer lawyer who is a leader in entertainment business for inclusion and disabilities. This is one of 5 films going for us this 2023/2024 we are truly grateful to bring this incredible story to life.
