A new international study co-authored by Endicott College researchers found that strong doctor-patient relationships can directly improve physical health outcomes. Published in Patient Education and Counseling, the research analyzed data from more than 18,000 patients and reinforces the powerful role empathy and communication play in healthcare.

After losing his father in 2019, Kyle Ando ’26 found support, purpose, and a new path at Endicott. Through lacrosse, a life-changing study tour in Japan, and a rewarding internship in Beverly, the exercise science major discovered his passion for patient care and plans to pursue nursing after graduation. Now, he hopes to make the same kind of impact his father made on others—in his own way.
