Visiting Artist Spotlight ✨ Kathryn Terwilliger-Smith ✨
Visit the shop to check out Kathryn's ceramic work! Learn more about the artist below...
Kathryn Terwilliger-Smith is a Maine-based artist whose work bridges fine art painting and ceramics through a distinctly whimsical and expressive lens.
Her paintings are defined by bold brushstrokes, vibrant color, and a strong sense of movement, creating compositions that feel alive with energy and spontaneity.
Embracing asymmetry, she allows each piece to unfold intuitively, celebrating imperfection as a vital part of the creative process.
In her ceramics, Kathryn carries this same playful sensibility into three-dimensional form. Her jewelry often features luminous gold luster, adding a touch of elegance to organic, freeform designs, while her bowls reveal quieter, more subtle gestures—small, unexpected details that reward close attention.
Across mediums, her work reflects a balance between bold expression and delicate nuance, inviting viewers to engage with both the joy and curiosity embedded in everyday objects.
