Shawarma is a Middle Eastern dish of Arabic origin made of pita or pita bread, which is filled with minced roasted meat with the addition of seasonings, sauces and a salad of fresh vegetables. Used without using cutlery.

Beefsteak is a dish of fried beef, cut and fried in portioned pieces. Borrowed by Ukrainian cuisine at the beginning of the 20th century, it was originally known as tovkanets. Originally, beefsteak was a type of steak, a steak from the main part of the tenderloin. Natural beefsteak is sometimes cooked with an egg.

The word "shampur" came from "shompol". Earlier, hunters and soldiers grilled meat, strung it on the same ramrod (rod for cleaning guns). As for the origin of the word "shashlyk", it comes from the Turkic "shish", that is, "spit". And it means something that is cooked on a spit.
