Possible tasks may include roll grinding and pouring and casting urethane. Other tasks could include but are not limited to: General plant work, Forklift/Overhead Crane, Large and Small Lathe Operation, Stripping rubber rolls, Building rubber rolls, Grinding/machining rubber rolls, sand blasting (rolls), Both small cabinet blaster and large industrial blasting booth, Large mill operation (rubber mixing mill and calendar mill),Maintaining organization of rubber/raw material storage, Maintaining organization of roll building supplies, Maintaining cleanliness of work area, Forklift operation, Light millwright work, bearing removal/installation, gear & hub. oval /installation, Trimming & handling of cast urethane products, Burning Torch operation, Capable of learning how to mix and cast urethane products, take inventory, cut grass, paint, etc.
The normal day shift hours are 7:00 - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, however applicant must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed.
Some general requirements:
All Applicant must have good attendance history and good references from previous employers .Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment, educational, and criminal background investigation, a medical doctor's physical examination and pre-employment drug screen and future substance abuse tests. All Applicants must be drug free and able to pass a drug test. .Drug tests may be given on a periodic random basis. Applicant must be willing to submit to drug test when requested. Dixie Precision maintains a drug free environment. All Applicant must be reliable, dependable and punctual.Applicant must be able to work well with others, follow all safety work rules and procedures and exhibit safe work behaviors and attitudes. Applicant must be a team player with excellent communication skills. Applicant must be self-motivated & energetic.A pplicant must have a desire for both personal and company success. Applicant must be professional in appearance and able to interact in a professional manner with both customers and vendors and co-workers. All Applicants must be able and willing to work in job shop environment in the heat of summer and the cold of the winter. All applicants must be able and willing to work in the manufacturing environment which often includes oil, grease, ,metal shavings, rubber shavings, dust, concrete floors, power tools, machinery and other things found in the industrial environment.All applicants must be willing to wear safety glasses, steel toe footwear and any other necessary personal protection equipment.
