Today is National Housing Advocacy Day, and we are joining a nationwide effort to shine a light on a reality that often goes unnoticed: the unique housing needs of women and children right here in Birmingham.

Family housing challenges aren’t always highly visible on downtown street corners, but local mothers working hard to keep their kids safe face incredible hurdles. At Pathways, our Day Center and shelter programs serve as an immediate safety net, but emergency care is just the first step.

We are incredibly grateful to work alongside our amazing community and Birmingham city partners to champion real, long-term, permanent housing solutions that provide lasting stability for these families. Solving family housing insecurity takes a village, and we are proud to collaborate with partners who genuinely care about moving our neighbors forward.
