A huge congratulations to Agbor Tabe Fiona Besem Atem for earning the Center for Teaching and Learning's Lean Into Future Teaching (LIFT) certificate in June! 🎉🎉

Offered in partnership with the UAB Graduate School, LIFT workshops are designed exclusively for graduate teaching assistants, graduate students and postdocs who anticipate a career in positions with teaching responsibilities.

Participants who complete eight workshops in the program will receive a LIFT certificate from the Center for Teaching and Learning to demonstrate their engagement with learning about good teaching practice.

💬 "After graduation, I plan to work in an outpatient psychiatry practice while also serving as a community liaison with my local hospital. My goal is to help bridge the gap in psychiatric care by improving access to timely mental health evaluations for patients experiencing psychiatric crises, postpartum mental health concerns, or life-changing medical diagnoses.
